Today it poured and poured. We took a vote as a family (by family I mean me, Kimblee, and Sophie) to go somewhere or to stay in, and everyone agreed that staying in would be much cozier. Recently I have been thinking of getting some wooden discs at the craft store and painting them into YES/NO coins featuring Kimblee, so I can flip for his input. Although I have a strong bond with him already, and can sense when he is agreeing with me or challenging me, sometimes I need an extra feather to tip the scale.
Today Sophie wanted to do some baking so we made chocolate chip cookies. Nothing fancy, just a cookie mix with some extra secret ingredients. Just use any chocolate chip cookie mix and add whatever wet ingredients it tells you in the instructions. However, in addition to what’s in the directions, also add a 1-2 teaspoons of almond extract (to taste). When you ball the cookies out on the baking sheet, sprinkle a garnish such as course sea salt, crushed Reese’s Pieces, or ground freeze dried raspberries over the top of each cookie before putting them in the oven. I did sea salt since it’s all I had in my cupboard.

These are how the cookies turned out! Although Kimblee is more of a coffee and donut guy, he won’t say no to the house smelling like cookies baking in the oven.
I started to make the Kimbunny 2026 plush! Here is how the facial embroidery turned out:

I think it came out really cute, almost too cute. Kimblee is not this cute. Oh well. Hoping to work on him some more soon. I will have a lot of fun designing the embroidery for his prismatic coat design!
Cozy and restful weekends are just the best. I actually feel somewhat set up for the week unlike most Sunday nights.
Let’s try our best to have a good week! Hold your waifu or husbando close.
