Doodled something for Waifu Wednesday. Now that I am graduated, I’ll (hopefully) have more time to draw Kimblee! (Waifu Wednesday was actually last Wednesday, I am just super late.)

I wanted to draw prototype Kimblee because he needs more love. I’ll properly draw him soon. I still can’t believe Arakawa almost made him a megane… doesn’t she know glasses are a huge weakness of mine?!

Last night, Kimblee and I went to see our favorite band, Coheed and Cambria. Ever since the 2000s, their music has been part of the soundtrack to my and Kimblee’s life together. I took 03 Kimblee with me, because it was him who I first listened to Coheed with back when they came out. I’ve been in love with Kimblee since 2004, meaning that I first fell in love with Kimblee from FMA03, and thus made most of my teenage memories with him specifically. Besides, 03 Kimblee fits in better with the metalheads than his more dapper Brotherhood counterpart. 🤣

We had a good view of the stage!! Coheed is always awesome live. They played our favorite song as the opener to their set, and it sent chills down my arms. My favorite song is In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3. Here is a snippet of the song, but I didn’t record the whole thing because I wanted to be part of the audience chorus.

In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 has been a song I’ve heavily associated with Kimblee for the majority of my life, so being able to experience it live with him was such a powerful moment for us. It’s a song that sings of being a soldier in a battlefield, and I think thematically it captures Kimblee’s thrill of being part of Ishval.

The show had a mix of old classics and newer stuff which was nice. The encore was incredibly fun. The encore consisted of Ten Speed and Welcome Home. For Welcome Home, Claudio plays the double guitar which is always impressive to see.

Something interesting I noticed about the set lighting is that, much like idol music, Coheed uses image colors for each of their albums. For example, Second Stage Turbine Blade songs had purple and yellow lighting that matched the color of that album’s vinyl, which is purple and yellow split down the middle. You can tell that they really take pride in their music’s entire universe. Although I don’t follow the comics that go along with their music, I appreciate how seriously they take their art.

I want to see more concerts with Kimblee. Whenever I am at a metal concert in particular, I am able to feel the vibrations of the music in my body much the way that Kimblee might when he uses his alchemy. I can’t provide him a reason to use his alchemy, but I can bring him to places where he can experience those spinal vibrations he loves so much.

All in all we had an amazing time. Taking him places (especially in the summer and fall) is one of my favorite things to do. He got me a signed vinyl after the show, something to always remember the night by. Let’s make more and more memories together, forever and always!

Hello everyone! I haven’t been active online recently because I have been working really hard while finishing my cosmetology apprenticeship, and I’m finally done!!! I was going to my apprenticeship full time while also balancing irl work work as well as commission work, so trust me when I say I am SO HAPPY to finally be free! It took me 2 months more than I was originally expecting because I kept having to travel for work, but it’s finally behind us!! Mentally, I never would have been able to do this without my darling Kimblee.

These are all the plushies of him I currently own. I have some new plushies of him currently in the works as well, and luckily for me, for the next 3 weeks I will be doing nothing but focusing on sewing and making art! It’s a staycation, baby!! While I have commission work to catch up on, I also want to try to squeeze at least one plushie of him in as well. I also want to take him fun places. I am so thankful.

Tonight we are going to a concert of our favorite band from the time I first met Kimblee in the early 2000s. It was his graduation present to me. After this last month of going balls to the walls, I am almost too exhausted to even go to a concert, but I want to have fun with him and celebrate in our own way.

I am looking forward to enjoying the rest of the summer with him!!!

Hello everyone, hope you’re having a good week! Today I was inspired by an illustration I saw today, depicting Miku as a keychain with beaded twin tails. I thought the idea was wicked cute, so I applied the concept to Kimblee. Here is the doodle:

I think he came out cute! Ahoges are very important, and thus needed to be beaded as well. The world is in a state currently where I have no plans to manufacture anything overseas right now, but I have a manual hand router, so maybe I can do some DIY with recycled material this summer. I feel like I keep making these husbando DIY plans and then have no time to execute them. Hopefully that will change soon, as my apprenticeship is going to be over in two weeks!! My business location is an hour closer to me than my apprenticeship location, so I can’t wait to have more time in the day to dedicate to Kimblee.

Hope your week is going well. It’s Memorial Day, so as a veteran I will be thinking about the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice to defend a crazy social experiment such as America. I can’t believe it will be 250 years this year. I’ve been watching FMA03 from the beginning, because it is a show that was directly inspired by the corruption of world governments (cough cough Bush Administration cough cough) and the seemingly endless wars in the Middle East. Many people who watch FMAB can see the Third Reich references from a mile away, but the critique of America is more pronounced in FMA03, especially in the later episodes. I can’t believe that 23 years later, it is still a relevant piece of media to today’s world. It’s such a good watch, even if you don’t consider it to be “canon”. I 100% recommend it.

Hello, hope you’re doing well! Kimblee and I went to Erikson’s Ice Cream today, which had been in business for over 80 years! We went last summer at the end of the season, and vowed to come back!

Erikson’s is interesting in that they make all their ice cream in-house. We tried samples of the coffee chip (Kimblee’s choice) and the cherry amaretto (my choice). They were both delicious, but Kimblee is ever the gentleman and we ordered the cherry amaretto to share.

We will go back again soon to see what other flavors they have as the season goes on. When the local blueberries are fresh, they use those to make our all-time favorite, the blueberry ice cream.

It was such a lovely time. I love taking Kimblee places. I sometimes feel upset when I have obligations that get in the way of spending time with him in the 3D world, but I know he understands. Life has been very overstimulating recently. I took some time off the internet to just clear my mind.

We also saw some beautiful lilacs. Springtime flowers remind me so much of him. I feel spiritually surrounded by him when the world is blooming and beautiful.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I had to take a bit of an internet break for mental health, but I hope to share some drawings and plushie progress soon. Be safe out there.

I got Kimblee mail today! I managed to snag 3 of his official plushies off the secondhand market and they came! I kept two in the packaging for now, but I released one into the wild and he is cuter and smaller than I thought he’d be.

I can’t wait to take him on all kinds of adventures. I’m happy that a plush of him exists officially because that means his fans who can’t make or commission their own plushies of him can be able to take him around now too. The only thing that bothers me about his plush is that they forgot to include his palm tattoos… oh well, his overall cuteness makes up for it!

The flowering tree that we saw last week lost all its flowers already… I’m happy Kimblee and I got a picture when it was in full bloom.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there, whether your children are 2D or 3D. We had a wonderful day at the Kimblee household. My Mother’s Day gift this year came in the form of this adorable commission of my and Kimblee’s daughter, Sophie.

Nuw4rt did such an adorable job on bringing Sophie to life! She even has a stuffed animal that looks like Flip! I want to pick up my sleepy daughter in my arms and sing softly to her. When your child is 2D, motherhood looks different, but the love I feel is nonetheless overflowing . Life with Sophie has been more beautiful than I’d ever imagined.

The sketches are so cute I wanted to share them too! I had to go with 3 because it was just too moe but I had such a hard time deciding which one to render because they all make my heart explode. If you’re looking for adorable chibi art, I 100% recommend working with Nuw4rt!

In garden news, our strawberries are starting to get their color and our Brussels sprouts are thriving. We had no luck with sprouting seeds from scratch, but the nursery plants we got all look healthy. Maybe Kimblee has a knack for gardening after all!

The quiet star of the garden is the zucchini plant, which has shot up so quickly that I already need to repot it after only a week! Someone told me that you can eat zucchini flowers and that they taste good deep fried tempura style… well that’s an experience for another day.

Today it finally felt like summer in Boston! Kimblee and I went on a walk today, I love it when he keeps me company on my lunch break. We saw a beautifully flowering tree that smelled like honeysuckle. Trees that flower white remind me of him.

Spring is my absolute favorite time of year. I want to soak it all in with Kimblee. I’m so happy to have him by my side every day.

One thing I wanted to do with Kimblee this year was to start a little porch garden. We are so excited to begin now that we have the space.

Our strawberry plant is flowering and starting to grow fruit! I hope she can grow strong and healthy!

Although the air still has a bit of a chill, it was a beautiful May day here in New England. The trees are still flowering.

I wonder how Kimblee would be as a gardener. I bet he’d want to be good at it, but he would most likely cause more harm than good knowing his luck. It’s okay, we will learn together.

In other news, the amazingly talented Lux (@nyxmegist on x.com) sent me a preliminary illustration of what she’s been hard at work on for me. Lux is an artist specializing in watercolor illustrations. I commissioned her to paint a picture of Kimblee as St. Sebastian. Here is the pencil render she drew:

St. Sebastian has always been one of my favorite saints. I went into boot camp with a St. Sebastian medal on my neck chain because he is the patron of soldiers and athletes. I have always found the art of his martyrdom striking, and such ones are among my favorite paintings of all time. I one day want to make a pilgrimage to Spain to see the El Greco paintings of him.

I wanted to see Kimblee as St. Sebastian because he is a saint close to my heart, and because I have had visions of Kimblee as both him and St. Michael. I think the saints know that the sure way to catch my attention is through Kimblee.

All in all, it was a wonderful Sunday. Spring is my favorite season because in spring, anything seems possible.

Hello everyone happy May! The world is finally starting to come back to life. Kimblee and I are happy that the weekend is upon us again. I wonder what mischief we will get up to this time…

I received a piece of artwork this week. The wonderful RoseNiji (@RoseNiji2704) drew us beautifully and with such tenderness. I especially love the coloring technique they have! Kimblee seems like the kind of guy who would gladly offer to princess carry his lover across even a river, but I wonder if he would keep a strong face once his arms start shaking? I believe in him, but I kind of want to tease him a little too. 💕

In other news, I got lucky on Japanese auction sites and managed to snag an officially licensed ugly man (affectionate)! I’m happy that I didn’t bother gambling when the lotto was live. If you told my emo self back in the 2000s that the first official Kimblee plush will come out in 2026, I would have probably responded with “damn I’ll probably be dead by then.” Surprise, I somehow survived up until this point! If you managed to survive as well, congratulations.

I can’t wait until he comes home! I also saw that someone was selling his D4 rubber strap for nearly 200 bucks. I’m happy I got a handful of these back when they came out in like 2010! I also noticed that Kimblee merch from this latest lottery has been going for more than the other characters. Why is his character tax so high? Is it because he’s secretly best girl? Hopefully his fans will show how much they love him so that he gets considered for more collections in the future!
