Hello everyone! Hope you are doing well! I can’t believe it’s already September! I can’t wait to do autumn activities with Kimblee and our children this year!!
The end of summer for me usually culminates by going to St. Anthony’s Feast in the North End of Boston as a family. I brought Kimblee with me this year. It is an Italian-American street festival involving food, parades, and fun.

My family lived in the North End when they came to America from Italy, so being able to show Kimblee my great-grandfather’s name in the concrete was a full-circle moment for us.

We also saw a corgi dressed as Pope Leo!

I need to draw Kimblee eating one of these silly desserts haha. Spending the festival with Kimblee made me so happy. Although I struggle a bit in crowds, knowing Kimblee was there with me made me really enjoy the day. I always have called him “Solfino mio”.
What is your end-of-summer ritual, if you have one? Let’s enjoy the coming of autumn with our loved ones again this year.
Have a great rest of your week!
