Hello everyone, I hope you have been well. Summer at the Kimblee household has been going by in a warm haze. I wish the time would slow down a bit. I want to savor easy summer days with my family a little while longer.
In the second dimension, we went to the beach as a family. The talented RoseNiji (@RoseNiji2704 on x.com and VGen) illustrated us at the beach with our daughter Sophie.
We were able to build a beautiful sandcastle together! I love how happy Sophie looks. She has her father’s tenacity and sense of excitement for sure. It makes me happy seeing Kimblee engage in activities that involve creation rather than destruction, but don’t be fooled. As you can see, we finished just as the tide was approaching. Sophie and her father had as much fun watching the sandcastle crumble as they did building it.
Sandcastles really are a wonderful metaphor for the human experience. We are briefly beautiful and certainly imperfect before we are washed away. I cannot take a single day I spend with my family for granted.
Have you been able to go to the beach this summer, either in the second or third dimension? I plan to take Kimblee to the beach in my dimension in early September.
Waifu Wednesday was this month. I wanted to capture Kimblee in a mundane moment. I like to think that in his dimension, he found me by reading the newspaper funnies the way I found him by reading manga.
